New Year's Resolution

I went to this talk at my gym the other day - something super crunchy about being fit, committing to your goals, and all that jazz.  Sidenote: it seems wrong to call something "crunchy" when it's really all touchy-feely.  Anyway, the health life coach lady was great and had this moving story about finding purpose in her life and it was full of slides like this:

And I'm sitting there like this:
Fat kid in a tiny wagon, how could I not?!?!

So anyway, the key tips were things that we've all heard before like pick just one thing and commit to it, make it SMART (oh hey intersection of business life and personal life. I thought I made it clear you two were never to meet), track your progress, and get support/go public.  So I've come to you to let you know that I have a resolution: I will take my makeup off before bed.  BOOOMM.

This literally has zero meaning in my life.  I would say 7 out of 10 days I forget to take my makeup off.  And by "forget" what I really mean is that I fell asleep on the couch, woke up at 3am, stumble into my bedroom, and give ZERO f's about remembering to take my makeup off. In fact, sometimes (aka most times) it crosses my mind that I should take it off, but make the purposeful decision not to since it might wake up me.  Accordingly, I wake up something like this:

Yes, ladies and gentleman, I'm a keeper.  But getting back on track, I have made it my resolution to start taking my makeup off.  Until about 45 seconds ago, I thought it took 21 days to start/break a habit, but apparently this has been debunked and it may take something closer to 66 days.  That being said, I am slightly discouraged but not deterred! But apparently now I need to go to Costco to get a value pack of makeup removers...
